As the founder and CEO of Evelyn The Advocate, LLC, she has transformed personal adversity into a powerful platform for systemic change, education, and survivor support.

A two-time survivor of domestic violence, Hemphill endured over fifteen years of abuse and navigated a protracted fourteen-year legal battle within the South Carolina Family Court system. Her personal journey—marked by the loss of her child’s custody and over $100,000 in legal fees—galvanized her commitment to advocacy. Through Evelyn The Advocate, she provides trauma-informed resources, legal guidance, and motivational support to individuals enduring similar challenges.
